There are a number of online companies who will set up monthly deliveries of flowers, priced for monthly deliveries of three, six, or 12 months at a time.  Each one is a little different when it comes to deliveries and prices.  Always make sure when sending flowers that the person will be home when or soon after the flowers are delivered, especially in the summer months.  Here are few of the most popular options:

Proflowers:  Flowers of the Month Clubs – ProFlowers offers a few different Flowers of the Month Clubs. You can specify deliveries of either flowers or strictly roses for periods of three, six, or 12 months. To send a very nice looking arrangement of flowers every month will cost about $140 for three months, $270 for six months, and $500 for 12 months. Roses cost slightly less at $130, $240, and $450 for three, six, and twelve months. For flowers, each month is an arrangement of in-season flowers, and roses are different colors depending on month. This is a great choice for your standard florist feeling arrangement. Prices include free delivery for weekdays and a free vase with the first delivery. 1800Flowers:  Monthly Gift Clubs – 1800Flowers.com has options for a Bouquet of the Month and Roses of the Month, along with a couple other interesting options. Roses will cost you $145 for three months, $280 for six, and $550 for 12 months, or $117, $227, or $444 for bouquets. All flowers are shipped overnight for freshness, which is a definite benefit.

Flower of the Month Club:  Offers delivery via shipping at $125 for three months, $245 for six months, and $480 for 12 months. They also offer a Flower-of-the-Season-Club which ships in-season flowers every third month, for a total of four arrangements for the year, for $168. A problem you might run into here is that they don’t tell you what kind of flowers you are getting, although you can cancel at anytime. If you want to know what kind of flowers you are getting before they get to you, this option may not be for you.

FTD:  Monthly Flowers Gift Plan – Has a three month delivery schedule for $150, a six month for $300, or 12 months for $600. The first month also includes a free vase. Their website lists the flowers for each month.

Does the idea of getting flowers online and having them shipped in a box from who knows where not appeal to you?  Sometime your local florist already has a monthly plan similar to the websites above that you can sign up for and have the flowers delivered straight to your house from the florist.  While some online flower places usually have very nice flowers, florist delivered flowers will already be arranged and are usually superior in quality to shipped flowers.  To save on cost, you can even pick the flowers up yourself.  You can buy a very nice arrangement of only flowers (no vase and not arranged) for $30, and with a little arranging and a vase you can have the equivalent of a $70 or more arrangement for much less.  Check with your local florist to find out options and prices.
